The Litany of the Blessed Virgin Mary refers to her as a vessel of honor, devotion, and spirituality. During the middle ages, when devotion to Mary was high, many illuminated manuscript books of hours were made. “Singular Vessel” is a binding of the mass of the Blessed Virgin Mary from the book of hours made for Joanna I of Castile between 1486 and 1506, the original having been photographed, posted online, and digitally printed.
